I never bought an iPhone because of the AT&T network. (I’m drooling over reports that it may pop up on Verizon next year. I can upgrade from my Blackberry Storm then–and I want to.) Want another reason to stay away from AT&T? Here’s a report on Slashdot (also saw something similar quickly on The New York Times) about how the CEO of AT&T wants to teach us data hogs about what a megabyte is and how our greedy overuse of data is spoiling it for our less data hungry brethern and AT&T’s profits. As Bugs Bunny used to say, “What a maroon.” According to a post on GigaOm today, AT&T stands to make $2 billion from the iPhone usage. Makes me ashamed of people my age who never “got it.”
