For a few years now, Rockwell Automation has taken a strategic look at its product and services portfolio in light of the trend for manufacturing in a sustainable manner. It appears that its efforts are being recognized.
The company has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index as one of the region’s best performing sustainable companies.

The Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index evaluates companies on criteria that reflect the economic, environmental and social forces driving the sustainability performance of a particular industry. Rockwell Automation was one of two companies added to the index’s industrial goods and services sector.

“We’re pleased that our efforts have been recognized by this well-established index,” said Keith Nosbusch, Rockwell Automation Chairman and CEO. “Sustainable production makes our operations cleaner, safer, and more energy efficient. Under the leadership of our Board of Directors, we have deployed in our own operations the smart, safe and sustainable technologies that Rockwell Automation offers to its manufacturing customers to improve their ability to compete by reducing waste, improving plant safety, and using less energy,” said Nosbusch.

In related news, Rockwell Automation was again accepted for the tenth consecutive year to the FTSE4Good Index of Companies. The index is a leading social responsibility investment index whose members meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards.
