I wrote this news item posted on Automation World about the latest project from those intrepid engineers at Festo. Using eight pneumatic actuators, some automation and structural design, they’ve created an exoskeleton for the human hand–dubbed ExoHand–that has huge potential for assisting human interaction with machines. It also shows promise helping some stroke victims along with many other uses. Check it out.
