Matt Littlefield started LNS Research, a new technology research firm, just before I started developing The Manufacturing Connection. Research firms develop thought models around the technologies they follow and then research users and developers to chart technology trends and benefits. Matt brought in Mark Davidson who had been Marketing VP at Invensys from retirement to lead the operations management practice.
It announced today that it has released its Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Research Library. Comprising research-based best practices and thought leadership publications, the library’s intent is to continuously educate manufacturing executives on emerging technologies. Readers will learn how to effectively integrate and streamline manufacturing operations across systems, processes, and people to better achieve operational excellence.
The library features an ongoing end-user survey that drills down into the current and future needs of manufacturing organizations across industries today. The results of this survey provide valuable benchmark data to executives looking to improve manufacturing performance and compete more effectively. Additionally, executives will gain access to reports detailing how to align business and manufacturing goals, along with how to best use technology to support their continuous improvement activities in the evolving MOM space. Also included in the library is a best practices guide that provides insight and recommendations for executives looking to learn about or invest in the latest strategies, processes, and supporting software technologies.
Davidson, Principal Analyst, says, “The Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) space is rapidly maturing and evolving to become the next frontier of enterprise software. In combination with other enterprise applications and industrial automation, integrated MOM software solutions are delivering dramatic improvements in manufacturing speed, agility, collaboration, safety, compliance, and profitability. We’re excited to launch this research library and welcome leading manufacturers, producers, and solution providers from a wide range of manufacturing industries across the globe to register.”
Industry executives will be able to access the MOM Research Practice Library and other relevant reports by completing a profile and the MOM survey on the LNS Research website.
